  • Swedish massage, aka classic massage; is designed to relax the entire body by rubbing the muscles in long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart.   • Deep tissue massage is a longer process and helps organize and restore elasticity to fascia - the web of connective tissue that surrounds all of the body's structures - when this has tightened due to trauma. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues.
